Of all the possible businesses, why did you choose network marketing as a business?

    After looking at many other options, I realized that I only had so many hours a day I could put into a business and that would also limit the maximum I could earn in the other options I looked at.  I needed to at least replace my full-time income, but still work my business around my family.  Since you are able to build an organization of like-minded leaders in network marketing, you can move from a small business owner to  big business without the large investment that normally would take in a traditional business.  I think that is one of the reasons many traditional business owners and professionals, like doctors and lawyers get into network marketing - time freedom.

Was your business an "instant success" or did you experience challenges along the way?

    I had many challenges along the way.  For the first 2 years I learned everything by trial and error, mainly error.  The problem was that I did not have the necessary skills and was following either unmarket-tested strategies or things that may have worked for my upline in the past, but were definitely not working for me at the time I was using them.  The one thing that kept me going was a extremely strong desire to be able to earn enough to stay home with my kids and the confidence that I could learn what I needed to be successful.  I knew that network marketing was the vehicle to take me where I wanted to go, I just needed the skill and "map" to get there that would work for me.

How does Leaders Club fit into your business model?

    By the time I found Leaders Club, I had already achieved some success in my business, but I definitely wish I would have known about Leaders Club when I first started!  I would have saved a tremendous amount of time, money and effort in getting started.  Now I help others avoid all the mistakes I made in choosing a business and learning the fundamentals needed to be successful.  All the leaders that I am working closely with are tapped into the resources at Leaders Club.  I see it as a necessary resource in getting new people off to a solid start and in creating the necessary independence and leadership to create long-term growth and solid residual income.

What advice would you give to someone serious about succeeding in this industry?

    First don't believe a lot of the hype that is out there.  Being successful in network marketing does take time and effort.  You need to have a long-term vision and a detailed plan to get you there.  It takes consistency and learning the necessary skills that will work for YOU.  Everyone has unique strengths, weaknesses, personalities, and environments in which they are trying to build their business.  That is why the Individualized Success Plan in Leaders Club is so effective.  You need to develop a plan that will work for YOU.  I would highly encourage someone serious about success to tap into Leaders Club to help them choose a company that will be a good fit for them and to develop a strong understanding of how to effectively build their business.  For those who already have achieve some level of success, I feel that Leaders Club will help them in developing the productivity, duplication, independence, and leadership necessary to take them to the next level and create a strong organization and long-term growth.
